  • 2. Revise the NCERTs

Since the NTA has clearly mentioned that the MCQs for CUET 2022 will be formed based on NCERT class 12th books only, it is advised that you revise your NCERTs very thoroughly. This won’t be a very difficult task since you have just appeared in your 12th board examinations. However, you need to keep in mind the following things-

  • You may have left the information given in boxes in the NCERT books while preparing for your boards. Go through that now.
  • For many subjects like economics, accountancy and sciences, students generally do not follow NCERTs to prepare for board exams. It is advised that you go through the NCERTs of each subject at least once for CUET 2022.
  • 3. Don’t neglect the General Test (Section 3)

This section comprises of General Knowledge, Current Affairs, General Mental Ability, Numerical Ability, Quantitative Reasoning, Logical and Analytical Reasoning. The level of questions will be of simple mathematics taught till grade 8 comprising of arithmetic, algebra, geometry and mensuration.

Brush up your mathematics portion if you are a humanities student. For reasoning, you can either rely on any good book or free YouTube courses offered by hundreds of channels. The current affairs portion can be covered by reading newspapers daily and going through the important news of last one year.

Remember, practicing is the key for this section.

  • 4. Practice

Many institutes and websites will be offering mock test papers based on the syllabus and pattern released by NTA for CUET 2022. Don’t forget to attempt as many papers as you can.

  • For the Section 3 (General Test), you can also use the previous year question papers of the universities that used to have entrances. BHU is one such source.
  • For the domain specific section, you are the best source of questions. While reading the NCERTs, think about every MCQ question that can be formed from each chapter from the examiner’s point of view. This is the best way to prepare for the domain section.
  • Do not forget to practice for languages too. Attempt comprehension questions and try to increase your vocabulary in the upcoming days.
  • 5. Use good sources to study

Using good, and limited sources to study is very important in the preparation of any entrance examination. For CUET 2022, NCERTs undoubtfully are the best for section 2 that is domain specific.

For language and general test, there is a hoard of study materials available in the market. It is advised that you stick to one reliable source for each subject. Some of the best books have been listed out by CA Parag Gupta for CUET 2022 in the following video –
